Got Salad?

Because my lettuce garden looks like this -

I'm so glad that I found this!

I've only tried a couple of the salads & they were delicious. I didn't buy the Litehouse dressings because those can be pricey. I just buy the same kind of dressing in a different brand. I really like the Marzetti dressings.

What's your favorite kind of salad dressing? Do you think you could do a 30 salads in 30 days challenge???

You mean a different salad every day?

Not necessarily - just a salad a day for 30 days. One stipulation - the salad has to be the main course (not a side :-).

I might be able to...I do love good salads! I wonder if it would get boring after awhile?!

My favorite dressing (and easies to make) is balsamic vinegrette.

1 part balsamic vinegar (sold at costco in a nice large size);
1 part olive oil;
a little water (1 tsp.);
some dried oregano or basil;
and a tbsp. of sugar (brown, preferably).

(clarification: "1 part" meaning "equal parts"... I usually do about 3/4 cup each)

I didn't know you were a gardener! I just started one. I'll have to hit you up for some tips. :)

I think I could do a salad for 30 days...it would just have to have something fattening and delicious in it like feta cheese, or avocado or something. :)

And I loved your previous post, btw. Thanks for the encouragement.

awesome idea! that is A LOT of lettuce. you must have good soil at your place. ours is so sandy and my minimal produce doesn't always do the greatest. have you ever tried Brianna's brand salad dressing? great options.....not terribly pricey.

I could definitely do that. My favorite dressing is made with Good Seasons Garlic and Herb dressing mix.
